Three of a Kind

I wonder how much longer they will all want to match each other.
While they love to dress the same, they are all changing. Katelyn- Finally wore me down to giving into cutting her hair. She wanted it chopped, I wanted it left alone. So we compromised, and took off five inches. That was enough to please her. She and Emily love to take turns feeding Claire her bottle, and race to her room to see who gets their first to rock Baby C in the rocking chair. She is Emily's best pal, and the two of them are obsessed with Strawberry Shortcake. She is extremely helpful with Claire, and is pretty good with her most of the time. Except for when Claire is wearing "too cute of clothes", and then she gets jealous. Really jealous. How dare Claire look cute. Emily Wants every minute of the day to be role play. I'm always assigned to be the villain. I've gotten quite good at stepping into character of Maleficent, Stepmother, Wicked Queen, etc... Unfortunately, she is becoming more and more particular about her wardrobe, and enjoys rummaging through the clothing bins in the garage, pulling out church dresses she wore as a two year old, insisting that they "still fit". Emily frequently requests to play with my old makeup and usually ends up looking like she's been in a fight or working in a coal mine. Claire Is walking. Sort of. My mom bought her some squeaker shoes that make noise when she steps. She would prefer to wear them 24/7. Crawling still seems to be her preferred method of transportation. Claire has developed a ridiculously severe case of stranger danger. Beware anyone who comes too close to her or makes eye contact. Seriously, you do not want the wrath of her vocal chords. She is a great eater (obviously), and finds therapy in DumDum suckers. They are the answer to all of her problems. She is becoming more interested in her big sisters' possessions, and is quickly learning how to tease K and E and "push their buttons". On another note, their mother is doing a terrible job documenting their lives. I will consider this a start.

  1. They are so cute. I was the recipient of Claire's stranger danger. My ears still hurt. It's funny how everything you mention sounds so familiar. Isn't this stage of life grand? I really want to keep my girls as they are and will let you know if I figure out a way to do it. We are done with preschool on the 21st and would love to plan something fun. My girls love your girls. Aren't you glad you didn't get 3 boys?

  2. They're all so pretty :) Every time I see pictures of the three of them together, I'm reminded of how cute your little family is.
(Is this Katelyn, post-haircut? It looks the same to me! You got off easy this time. Heheheh.)
