The other night at Rubio's, the girls and I walked up to the register to place our order. Here is our conversation with the cashier:
Cashier: "Hey! The "three street taco" platter for you tonight?"
Me: "Yep, that's it."
Cashier: "Carnita meat on all three tacos?"
Me: "Uh... yeah."
Cashier: "You still want chips and pinto beans as your side dishes?"
Me: "Uh-huh."
Cashier: "Becky, to go, right?"
Me: (blink) "Right."
We wait for our order and stroll over to the salsa bar where Katelyn proceeds to scoop little containers full of all the salsas we like. The cashier calls our order and then says, "See you next Wednesday!" Hmm... maybe we come here too much. Maybe I should cook more. Maybe I am too boring and predictable. Probably all three.
Richard would say that you are just "consistent." Hey, whenever I go to Pizza Villa they know what I want. It can give a person pause however. I did notice you named this blog post "Tradition." A tradition is something you do over and over again, right? Now don't you feel better?
ReplyDeleteThis is funny:) Hey, you might as well stick with what works. Three of those little tacos feed you and your girls? Good grief. I love your new background. And the hugging picture... darling! Who took that photo? Where did you get their dresses? Or, where did your mom get their dresses? Lucky.
ReplyDeleteThat's to funny... don't we all have something like this?! Yoru girls are getting so big!!! They are adorable.. Thanks for commenting on our blog I am glad to have found yours!
ReplyDeleteRubio's is much much better than pizza villa. If nothing else, this should make you feel better. Also, I've eaten nutella and toast (notice I said, nutella and toast, not toast and nutella) for breakfast everyday for the past two weeks. You should just be grateful you're not buying for eric...
ReplyDeleteDon't change....Rubio's is really good. We need to support the local community!
ReplyDeleteWishing Rubios would do my cooking.....
ReplyDeleteI too would like to know who took these pictures. The "hug" turned out so cute. I love the colors Katelyn and Emily are wearing. Very pretty!

Yes, but you'd be disappointed if you tried something new and it wasn't as good as your usual. We've been venturing into unknown restaurants lately and it's always such a let down. Every eatery here turns out to be just another neighborhood greesy spoon. Not sure if the standards for cleanliness are different in South Alabama, but it seems so. Therefore, we go back to the same two places and order the same old meal. But it makes us happy, right?
