And To All... A Good Night

I've decided that next year, I'm telling Katelyn that Christmas is a day later than it actually is. Apparently the night before Christmas is just too much for the girl to handle, considering she got maybe 4 hours of shuteye... MAYBE. Funny thing about kids who don't sleep: their moms don't get to sleep either. I spent the night sharing a bed with a thrashing, worked up, cranky kid who shook me every 10 minutes, asking if it was morning yet. After a couple of hours of sleep, (or something like it), I greeted the Christmas day in need of powerful prescription eye drops and some serious deep wrinkle cream for my imbedded frown lines. It was a magical night.

Since my camera is missing, the only pictures I have are from Eric's phone and ones that my uncle Mike took. We spent Christmas Eve at my wonderful Grams' house and Katelyn was the angel in the nativity.

And doesn't she just look angelic?

All the kids got antlers. Too bad there's
not a reindeer named "Spunky"

Classic Katelyn

Emily barging though the 'stable'

Grams spoils us all!

Christmas Morn finally came!!

Rocky could hardly bear the excitement

There's got to be a better picture of Emily somewhere
At least she likes to brush

Thanks for the presents, Santa!
You'll never guess what she asked me next....

"Hey Mom, how many days 'til Valentines?"

I need a nap.

  1. That sounds fun- OH WHAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO. Gratefully Kayson is still a bit young and we didn't get up till 8:30- 9:00. What an adorable little "angel" you have!!! And Emily is as cute as ever I can't believe how big they're getting!

  2. You must go all out for Valentines if she's already counting down the days. Why don't they make sleeping pills for children?

  3. I have one word for you...Benadryl.

  4. If only it were that simple. Katelyn laughs at Benadryl. Can't you prescribe her something stronger?

  5. I so get the thrashing child. Mine is Rachel and lately, she's been bedding with us from 5-7 am. She looks uber annoyed at her role as an angel. Maybe next year she can be a ballerina. Those costumes seem to be a hit.
