Where Everybody Knows Your Name

After our trip to see Santa at the mall, the girls and I stopped by the A&W drive-thru for a few orders of their delectable corn dog nuggets. I pulled up to the speaker, placed my order, and was greeted by the girl on the mike, "Oh, hi! You're here! Come on down!" (Mind you, she hadn't even seen my face.) When we get to the window, she opens it and says, "Hey, you weren't here on Tuesday! We've been talking about you and wondered if you were okay. Did something happen to you?" It's so nice to have people who care. Thank you, A&W crew. You know not to ask me if I'd like to buy a drink, that I only order a root beer freeze when I'm having a bad day, and you always remember that I need a plethura of fry sauce packets. Could I have a more obvious routine? After averaging out how many trips we've made to A&W and the number corn dog nuggets I've allowed my girls to ingest, I've concluded that I am so not winning Mother of the Year.

  1. You know, Becky, it's always good to know that somebody out there cares and keeps track of you. And I always say that as far as kids and eating go, whatever works!

  2. I love that you have your little routines with your girls. It's fun to be able to count on the little things. Enjoy it before they get in school and life starts getting even more crazy. And if YOU aren't up for mother of the year, there's NO way that I am! I didn't know you even had bad days. You are constantly happy and smiling:)

  4. I've been stalking your blog. Hi, I'm your cousin-in-law, Troy.

I wish fry sauce would make it over the Rockies. I am reduced to making my own. Lots of weird looks ensue.

  5. Better hope that Rubio's doesn't get wind of this. There could be a competition brewing...
